Aparaaditehas announces the second application round of the Open Culture Platform 2025

Now that the school year is over, Midsummer has been celebrated, and the first wave of fatigue has passed, it’s the perfect time to channel your energy into creative action. Whether your idea is still in its early stages or already more developed – we encourage all dreamers to share their wild and exciting concepts with us. We’ll help shape them and bring them to life.

Over the past five years, the Open Culture Platform has supported more than 25 diverse projects – from solo exhibitions and concerts to festivals, site-specific performances, workshops, and market days. With each passing year, both the number and quality of applications have increased, proving that Tartu is full of vibrant creative energy just waiting for the right outlet.

This year as well, we are looking for bold and original ideas that will enrich the cultural landscape of Tartu and bring new life to the historic spaces of Aparaaditehas. We welcome one-off events (concerts, parties, experience days, sports events, festivals, installations), as well as event series and exhibitions.

Projects selected through the Open Culture Platform will receive financial, conceptual, and technical support from Aparaaditehas to help realise their ideas successfully.

The events of the second round of the 2025 Open Culture Platform are planned to take place between September and December 2025. The exact date of each event will be agreed upon in collaboration between Aparaaditehas and the organiser.
