WORKSHOP // Scrap night vol.6: cardboard animals
We loved your experimental approach at our last collage session and truly appreciate your willingness to trust the process , results were definitely worth it!
The next event will take place next Wednesday, 28th of May, at the usual time 5:30 PM! This time we are adding a dimension: we’ll be making scrap cardboard figures!
Scrap Nights are always playful, but with the Children’s Day approaching we want to put even more emphasis on that and try making some toy-like artworks. We will prepare stencils for simple cardboard models of animals and other creatures, and explain quickly the basic idea behind it. The most fun part, though, will be decorating your new little friends - maybe with the leftover mosaic pieces, maybe with poetry, maybe just with drawings and paintings? Sky (TYPA’s roof) is the limit!
The events are our voluntary project, carried out by TYPA’s ESC volunteer Asia and education manager Karoliina. The aim of this is to reduce the leftover scrap waste we have at TYPA.
Due to the rising prices of snacks there will be a symbolic fee of 1 euro so everybody could have a sweet treat to keep up the mood.
No registration is required. And, as always, it’s completely fine to also come make more traditional collages or zines if you prefer this; we are definitely not running out of scraps.
The first rule of Scrap Club is to have fun and be yourself!
