WORKSHOP // Multi colored linocut printing course

On March 10th begins a month long (4 meetings) multi-colour linocut technique course. This workshop introduces two widely used methods for creating multi-colour linocut prints: the reduction technique and the multi-plate approach. You will learn how to plan colour separations, carve well, and achieve precise registration across multiple layers.
 Sessions begin with the reduction method, in which a single block is carved and printed in stages, before moving on to the multi-plate technique using separate blocks for each colour. By the end of the course, you will have produced an edition of prints using each method.
 All materials and tools are provided. Some prior experience with relief printing is helpful but not essential.
The course will be conducted by TYPA’s residency coordinator and printmaker Charlotte Biszewski. This course will be conducted in both Estonian and English .
