Fin Kennedy - "Fast"

Can one high school student bring about a big change in the world in a short time? Even in their own city?

Cara Leary is a student at Redford High School. Final exams are just around the corner, but her focus is elsewhere. Having discovered that a recent family tragedy had clear political undertones, she is not going to sit idly by and wait for older and wiser people to do something. Together with her classmates, she begins an extreme campaign to make change happen tomorrow.

But is the chosen direction really the golden truth? Does the end justify the means? And it soon becomes clear that even human capabilities have limits...

The play, written by Fin Kennedy in collaboration with British youth in 2014, also feels completely familiar in Tartu in 2025.

"Fast" is the graduation performance of the senior group of the Jakobi Mäe Theatre Studio Elementary School.

The performance takes place in a room above the restaurant "Kolm tilli", and can be accessed by going up the stairs next to the restaurant.
