EXHIBITION // Antti Eklund “The Path Forward Needs Walking"

On Friday, March 1st, the Finnish-American artist Antti Eklund's painting exhibition “The Path Forward Needs Walking" was opened at Aparaaditehas as part of Gallery Night vol 12. Eklund's exhibition is on display at both Trikster Tihane and Kolm Tilli restaurants at the same time. The painting "Madness of War Ever Since Polemos", which is located in Trikster Tihane restaurant and comments on the Ukrainian war, belongs to the art collection of the city of Turku and is loaned to Tartu by the twin city of Tartu to celebrate the culture capital year in Tartu.

Eklund's monumental paintings are provocative, aiming to illuminate injustice, expose abuses of power, and encourage progressive thinking. His goal is to encourage us to take action for positive change. Eklund is an architect, graphic design professor and strategic business manager by background. During his internationally award-winning career, he has worked with companies such as Marimekko and Alessi.
