EXHIBITION // Through the Layers of Silk. Exhibition of the second year students of the Pallas School of Art Textile Department

The second-year students of the Pallas School of Art's Textile Department present their original fabrics, which were completed in May 2025 as part of the course "Printed Textiles. Special Project".
The task was to create two unique original fabrics using screen printing technology and optionally other textile printing techniques such as package printing, stencil printing or fabric painting. The students' works intertwine personal ideas, compositional searches and technical diversity, which open up different layers to the viewer.
"Through the Layers of Silk" is an overview of the first printed textiles of the second-year textile students, where experiments, intuition and technical awareness meet in visually impressive results.
The exhibition will feature Emily Dobrus, Leena Isabel Pizzolante, Mari Saffre, Johanna Tuisk, Darja Zaboronok and Tiina Zukker.
The course was supervised by Kadi Pajupuu, Petri Juslin and Marju Roos, and the production of the fabrics was supervised by Marju Roos.
The public presentation of the fabrics will take place on Wednesday, May 28th at 12 noon.
