EXHIBITION // "Did they go to the same place"

We invite you to the opening of the exhibition "Did they go to the same place", which will take place on Tuesday, 10. of June at 6pm!

Location: Sofa Office, Aparaaditehas - third floor, entrance from Kastani street, door number 2.

2025. at the beginning of the year I started a creative circle - it's a hobby group for adults where my goal as a photo artist is to open my perspective on photography as a means of self-expression also to those who do not do it every day. We use photography as a tool to find a better contact with our creativity, learn to notice details and to decipher processes taking place in our inner world. The aim is to develop visual thinking and self expression skills, while dealing with various creative blocks and fears. As an instructor, my wish is to inspire visitors of the exhibition to rediscover their favorite hobbies and creative expressions.

The binding theme of the exhibition is places. Different locations shape our lives, but we also leave traces of ourselves everywhere. Creative circle participants take visitors to unique paths, introducing their thought process and point of view.

Anne-Mari finds nostalgic romance in the weekday and Kadri-Ann observes the forms of being at home. Anneli bows to trees with her pictures in both light and in shade and Liisa looks inside - who is hiding under the outer layer? Karin asks with her creation on the edge of a forest cut to the ceiling, if we need the money we get from the forest more than the forest itself.

The title of the exhibition "Did they go to the same place?" also hints at the same place to the dynamics of the group. People from completely different fields have come together, all with their individual vision and artistic language, but still working towards a common goal. This kind of diversity brings interesting ideas into the discussions and proves that creativity does not only belong to professional artists – it is a part of all of us.
