“Mirrors” brings together different young artists who are currently studying at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre. The program is offering a distinct and broad perspective on sound. Canetamburo works with electroacoustic improvisation and live performance, blending contemporary music, internet culture, and hybrids of academic and non-academic practices. Electro Funeral combines two accordions and electronics, improvising with a dark, reflective, and existential character. Roya Naini performs using a glass instrument she built herself, exploring its rich and delicate sounds. Giustino Kabiro plays on synthesizer with a noise-driven, experimental approach, rooted in DIY practices, adding layers of unpredictability that expand his sonic output. Placed together, these voices create a landscape of contrasts and unexpected connections. Differences meet and interact and in their encounter, two feelings emerge, opposed yet inseparable, opening a space of transformation for those who listen.
