WORKSHOP // Children's Demolition Day
Let's take apart some electronics!
When electronic devices are broken it doesn't actually mean, that you need to throw them away. If the device itself is beyond repair, you can still use it for spare parts.
All the strange bits and pieces that all have their own names and functions is what makes taking machines apart so interesting.
During the workshop, kids will acquire the basic knowledge of how electronics works. We will not destroy the devices, we will take them apart to spare parts. We will talk about recycling and teach you, how to take electronic devices apart so that they could later be put back together.
What will we break apart?
* massive office photocopier
* UPS
* strange white box
* various smaller electronic devices
The workshop is meant for the ages 6-9. Children up to 9 years old should attend with their parents.
The event is over when everything is taken apart or when the children have tired themselves out.
