Gallery Night vol. 11

The darkest time of the year is almost upon us and there is no better spiritual boost than a bit of fresh art. We welcome you to our 11th Gallery Night and invite you to an exciting journey through the gallery spaces of Aparaaditehas. We'll chat with artists, raise glasses to new exhibitions, take tours of the factory and dance the night away.

> R gallery / Katrin Kelpman's painting exhibition "Does my life also belong to my cat's 9?" is in the R gallery that’s located in the Karud ja Pojad studio-shop. Artist is present at 19–21. The back room of the studio-shop is also open, where artists Maris Aare and Jaanus Kaasik introduce their art and activities. Also, a pin workshop takes place there! / Entrance from the courtyard

> Biblioteek / The bookshop is open longer than usual and on this occasion invites visual art teacher Edna Vahter to instruct a workshop for the whole family "SPOT LOOKING FOR ART" at 18–20, where you can join whenever. Afterwards, everyone can take home their own piece of art! / Door nr 1 and 9

Redwall office gallery / In the office gallery of web and software developers, Maria Marmor's interactive digital painting exhibition "Wabi-Sabi" full of perfect imperfections is open / Door nr 2, II floor

Redwall corridor gallery / Illustration exhibition of painter Alisa Vasina "Art is in fashion". Alisa Vasina is an artist and fashion designer who is inspired by colors and personalities who are not afraid to shine / Door nr 2, II floor

Made in Aparaaditehas / Textile artist Aet Ollisaar and interior designer Madis Liplap (Studio 100) present their exhibition "A Place to Come to" in Made in Aparaaditehas gallery at 18.30 / Door nr 1 and 9

Stuudio 100 / After the exhibition tour in Made in Aparaaditehas gallery, Aet Ollisaar and Madis Liplap are waiting for everyone in their colorful studio until late in the evening / Door nr 7, III floor

Ag47 / In the photo gallery, Anneli Ivaste and Kristel Schwede exhibit "It's autumn, it's spring". In addition, you can have a special wet plate portrait done without pre-registration / Entrance from the courtyard

TYPA gallery / Joonas Ahtikallio's "Dark Garden" exhibition and plant music installation will be open for the very last time. At 19.30, an artist talk will be held to celebrate and talk about Joonas’ exhibition and the methods of working with plants in photography / Kastani 48f, Samelin shoe factory’s courtyard

Haki gallery / "Unremembered Moments" exhibition of Tiina Tiitus' drawings. The artist will be present and you can buy her newly published book "The Love of Life" / Entrance from Kastani street

Sofa Office / The presentation of Anti Saar's new book "Puu põndakul" and the sales-exhibition of the pictures included in the book will take place at Sofa Office at 18. The presentation is led by Peeter Talvistu, chairman of the Tartu Artists' Union / Door nr 2, III floor

Plantarium gallery / At 19, the interactive group exhibition "Teed" on the theme of the city of Tartu will be opened. Participating artists are KAIRO, Sashami, Kristel Sergo aka OlevusArt, Yana Sievka-Goldobin. The authors and developers of the exhibition are Kira Harlašova and Mariliis Kütt. The exhibition is part of the Open Cultural Platform of Aparaaditehas / Filosoofi 3 or the secret path near TYPA

Deepdance Company / Deepdance Company will entertain the guests of the Gallery Night with a durational performance at 20–21, where the public can enter or leave as they wish or watch the whole performance. At 21–22 there will be an opportunity to chat with the participants and watch the dance film "Reel". Everyone is welcome! / Door nr 2, 0 floor (Tartu Ashtanga Yoga School)

Club Gutenberg / Event series “Anomalies” that combines visuals and music will come to life again for just one night. The journey is open at 18–23. After that Club Gutenberg will host the official Gallery Night afterparty

Tour of Aparaaditehas / Special trip to Aparaaditehas’ secret hidden places. Aparaaditehas’ programme manager Karmen Otu will talk about the history and the Factory´s special traits. The tour is in English and with pre-registration / The tour starts from the courtyard at 18.30
